Hallo,

I have implemented two seperate module A and B with special file format. The
files are represented by a tree of specific nodes. Some of these nodes have a
specific Cookie in their Lookup.

What I want is to implement a further module C with a Cookie-Action, which
should appear in the nodes context menu.

The problem is that this module C should be independed from A and B. It should
only depended from the module which implementes the Cookie. That's why I can
not deklare the action programmatically in the nodes implementation.

Of course it is easy to have this Cookie-Action in the Menu or toolbar of the
entire application by declaration via Layer.xml. But I have not found a way
to put it declarative via Layer.xml in the nodes context menu.

In a future version of NetBeans there will be good support for
constructing a node's popup menu from a layer folder. Right now it is
possible but clumsy - you have to code it yourself (as e.g. the editor
module does). Or you can try openidex/enode - YMMV.

Is this work done? Is it now possible? And if so, how can I do it easyly. And
if not, can anybody explain me a workaround?

best regards
