Platform details:
Product Version: NetBeans IDE 7.0 RC2 (Build 201104070802)
Java: 1.7.0-ea; Java HotSpot(TM) Client VM 21.0-b07
System: Windows XP version 5.1 running on x86; Cp1252; en_US (nb)

Job: Creates Java Persistence API entity classes based on an existing relational database (MySQL)

operating instructions:
    Install WampServer for MySQL 5.5.8

Creates a new Java SE application in a standard IDE project.

Creates Java Persistence API entity classes based on an existing relational database.

Select Database Connection as "New Database Connection..."

Choose Driver for MySQL database as "MYSQL (Connector/J driver)"

Driver File is added by wizard "mysql-connector-java-5.1.13-bin.jar"

Customize Connection with default values to proceed.

Password provided for user root as "admin"

    Test Connection

Result: Test Connection Failed.

Am I skipping some important steps?

Note: However, I've tested MySQL DB connection programmatically (java code snippet) & successfully done.

Thanks for support!!

Greetings

The same problem here with NB 6.8

The datasource is already created through the GF Administration
Console and the ping was successful.
The wizard shows the list with the created ds but when selected nothing happens
