Netbeans can't build the simplest Maven, Enterprise Application that it creates

I created a new project with Maven, Enterprise Application. I added a single MDB. When I try to build the project I get this:


Failed to execute goal on project my.project-ear: Could not resolve dependencies for project jms:my.project-ear:ear:1.0-SNAPSHOT: Could not find artifact jms:my.project-ejb:jar:1.0-SNAPSHOT -> [Help 1]

I've used Maven from the command line before, but this is my first time using Maven from Netbeans. Apparently Netbeans / Maven can't build a project that it creates.

Does anyone know what Maven is trying to tell me here?
