|
|
Hi, new to this, so please excuse any goofs I make.
Attempting to use NetBeans 7 to branch into Android development. I have a small learning project that compiles and I am attempting to debug on an emulator. I have installed Cygwin with gdb, gcc, make etc.
The application starts on the emulator and advertises that it is waiting for a connection to com.androidbook.droid1 process.
Using Powershell (My PC is Win7) I've been using Get-Process. No processes with the name com.androidbook.droid1!! There is however the processes for conhost and emulator-arm active whilst the emulator is running.
I have tried to connect both the Java debugger and gdb to the process. Whether attaching by process (PID or name) or to the emulator socket (port 5554) it fails to connect.
Attempts to connect via socket are partially successful - I can see from my firewall logs that the connection is made at the MAC level first, then the TCP level next, then three seconds later the connection is disconnected.??
Attempts to connect via process meet with varying results such as "jvm.dll not loaded by target process", or "Access is denied".
Any thoughts or help appreciated.

| Another message I am getting when I attempt to connect to the emulator process by its PID is: "Unable to attach to 32-bit process running under WOW64" |

So, your solution is to download the firmware for the Samsung Galaxy S3!
What if I want to develop for a broader market? More the point - I did't think the emulator uses firmware. |
