Hello! I'm looking for some suggestions on how to distribute my Platform application.
Presently, I have a module suite, where the modules consists of support modules, the base application module, and additional capability modules. The additional capability modules have dependency on the support and base application modules, but not on each other.
So, originally, I planned to make one installer that would install all modules. However, it has been decided that not all users should get the additional capability modules; we would somehow distribute those modules only to the users who need them.
Do I take the additional functionality modules out and put them into their own module suite, and then make an installer for the base application + functionality modules? If that is the case, should I then make a separate update center for the additional function modules and distribute that link as needed?
Is there a better approach? |

I think what you are planning would work. Even if they know the other 'update center URL' just secure it .
A reference that you may find useful...
