Being new to Java I picked up a book. While new to Java I'm not new to programming with a 40 years career. Early in the book it shows how to use the Customize with the Project Configuration to pass command line arguments. However this generates the same error that not passing arguments does as illustrated in the book and experienced in the previous exercise. I have even tried creating a named config and get the same results.
I placed the JDK in my path and ran javac then ran the program passing it a command line argument and the snippet of code runs as it should. So it would seem to be something with NetBeans.

I have Windows XP, SP 3, JDK 1.6.0_32, and NetBeans 7.1.2.

I am at a loss and would appreciate suggestions or guidance with what should be a very simple task.

Thanks
