Ruby Users Forum and the users@ruby.netbeans.org Mailing List

Hi folks,

netbeans.org is now incorporating a forum interface onto its most popular mailing lists. This Ruby Users forum is linked with the users @ ruby.netbeans.org mailing list. So when you post to a topic on the forum it goes out to the mailing list, and when someone replies on the mailing list it shows up on the forum.

Everything should work smoothly, from message threading to replies. Two small problems:

* Attachments from email messages are not displayed on the forums yet. We're working on that and hope to have it fixed soon.
* When a response to a thread comes from the mailing list, the thread is not marked as unread in the forum interface.

Since forums.netbeans.org is running on different software than the netbeans.org CollabNet infrastructure, you do have to register separately with forums.netbeans.org. Your netbeans.org user name and password will not work on forums.netbeans.org. We apologize for making you register twice!
