Ok, this USED to work -- at least for 8.0 and earlier. Apparently when I upgraded to Netbeans 8.1 and Java ME SDK 8.2 this broke. By "this" I mean when I right click on, say, I2CDevice on an import line, as in:

import jdk.dio.i2cbus.I2CDevice;

Netbeans would cause my browser to bring up the Javadoc for I2CDevice. Now my Netbeans session just "beeps" at me when I right click on that word. Now, I found on the net that I could go to "Tools->Java Platforms" and on the Javadoc tab select the URL. I've tried numerous URL's but it seems that the Java ME API docs aren't organized in the same way as the Java SE API docs. Can somebody please point me the correct URL for the Java ME API docs so it will work with Netbeans?

Thanks

Bruce

I found the reason. When I copied the JavaME project, the "Optional Packages" that WERE marked checked in the original project WERE NOT that way in the copy. Even though the jdk.dio.i2cbus.I2CDevice library was imported, I had to mark the appropriate checkboxes for "Optional Packages" to enable Javadoc to pop up in my browser. Seem that I shouldn't have to do that if this is a copy of the original with those boxes checked. Why is that Netbeans team?
