I have no experience how a complex piece of sw that is built under a different FreeBSD environment will behave on another one. ..

I am sorry, there is no progress.

FreeBSD now has packages with their recent releases for OpenJDK 6 & 7.

Something like pkg_add -r openjdk6 should be able to install this on PC-BSD or FreeBSD if it's a recent release. I'm actually a developer for MidnightBSD, but I use FreeBSD at work and this would be a useful feature. If there is anything I can do to help, please let me know.

It may well be that there is no binary package yet.

I think you want JVMTI local broker resources, right? They
are in lib.profiler/native. I did gather it on FreeBSD (few months
ago), but the issue was that Diablo JDK is losing some areas in
JVMTI execution that are required by NetBeans Profiler.

It may well be that there is no binary package yet. You can build one easily from the source via the the FreeBSD port system. If you do not want to spend time on it I may do for you. However, I have no experience how a complex piece of sw that is built under a different FreeBSD environment will behave on another one. I have two FreeBSD machines to my avail: one runs 7.2, the other 7.1, both compiled for the i386 arch and have fairly recent ports installed.
