Hi !

I 'd like to create a Web Service Client by using a WSDL file which use JAX-RPC Style !

So when I try to install the Web Service, I have the following message that appears :

Quote:
you must download JAX-RPC support plugin to create JAX-RPC client.

Sad

In the window Tools > Pug-ins, there is no JAX-RPC support plugin in the list...

Can I have any help, please ! Smile

He's talking about the JAX-RPC plugin specifically.
It is my understanding that the JAX-RPC plugin is not supported for 6.9. The technology is quite obsolete and we do not have resources to update the plugin.

I haven't tried in 6.9 yet, but did get it working in 6.8. I have the plugin at work...if you need it, let me know, and I can upload to stashbox tomorrow.

because nb69, nb691 has not certified jaxrpc plugin as yet -- its only available from
the developer plugins site -- last i checked.

i got mine from
http://updates.netbeans.org/netbeans/updates/dev/uc/final/main/catalog.xml.gz months ago

add the link to you netbeans plugins/settins options -- only leave activated long enough to get the jax-rpc
plugin -- or else you might be tempeted to try other plugins also.

additional plugin locations can be registered and not selected.
-----------------------------------
i just wrote 3 apps to test jax-rpc with nb691 and gf301;

a simple j2ee 1.4 web service with a single operation that returns a string -- a copy of string passed in.

a pojo java app web svc client to call the web service operation,

and a j2ee 1.4 web app servlet that calls the j2ee 1.4 web service and displays the result in a web page;

both client apps work exactly as expected; no surprises; both the service, servlet deploy just fine;

the pojo app calls the web service just fine.

did not test with EJB's -- did not setup an EJB web service endpoint, or clients for such.

gary
